Patient Education
Dr. Scott Hallums joined the East Bank Chiropractic team in February 2008. He is originally from Lebanon, TN. While on scholarship for basketball, Dr. Hallums recieved his degree in Biology and Chemistry from Cumberland University. After college, Dr. Hallums continued his education at Logan College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, MO. This is where he honed his skills as a Chiropractic Physician. He graduated from Logan in 2006 and practiced for a year in Nashville, TN before movnig here to Chicago and joining East Bank Chiropractic.
When asked about his chiropractic care, Dr. Hallums said. "It helps me stay as healthy and active in a natural way. It has been the only thing that keeps my migraines managable."
Dr. Hallums' mission is to provide detailed information about specific conditions that individuals may possess, and help to lead them down the right pathway to resolve their problems and optimize their full health potential. Not only does he work on relieving pain and discomfort, but he also focuses on finding and addressing the underlying cause of the problem.
In his spare time, Dr. Hallums enjoys spending time with his wife Vanessa, their daughter Isabella, and their dog named "Cat". He also enjoys living an active lifestyle, participating in local running events, cooking, fishing, and working out. He also hopes to soon start competing in triathlons.
Dr. Hallums utilizes the following chiropractic techniques; diversified, flexion/distraction, and Thompson Drop. He is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Logan Alumni Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society, and is an active member of Chicago Area Runners Association.
